Silas "RawCloudZero" Kwok

"Uhh, my name is Silas and I am going into my second year of sciences at UofA. and I go by RawCloudZero. I know i will get hated on for this *laughs* but I prefer and main PM and play melee a bit more casually but still trying to learn so that it transfers into my PM play *laughs*. I try to main Zeldaand am picking up Samus in both PM and Melee. Competitively, I have been playing for almost half a year i think? *laughs* It was the day after Geoff's 18 birthday party *laughs*

"It's refreshing to hear some one who prefers PM over Melee. What is the biggest thing that PM has over Melee for you?"

"Obviously the biggest thing that PM has over Melee is that Zelda has more than just a bair or fair *laughs*. Jaykays. I really like playing diverse matchups which helps keep the game more interesting and keeps me on my toes compared to Melee where majority of the times I just play against Marths, Foxes, Falcons and Falcos. Playing against these characters isn't bad, but it gets a tad bit boring time to time"

"What are some match ups in PM that you would avoid if you had the chance, if any?"

"At the moment, I feel that I wouldn't avoid any match ups because I still haven't played all the matches. And even if i don't like playing some people like Corbin's Luigi and your DeDeDe, I view it as a challenge and as a way of motivating me to practice more and creates the desire and thirst to get better and to overcome the specific matchup. Like when I started and was still a bigger scrub than I am now, I just couldn't beat Geoff's Marth. *laughs* every time we would meet up, I'd lose and go home see what I did wrong and try to fix my bad habits and play style, until I could start beating it."

"Out of all of the SEAmen (South Edmonton Asians), you stand out as the most motivated of them all, consistently coming out to tournaments and drop ins through out the week. In fact, some of the members of the SEAmen attribute the success of their smash group to you and your enthusiasm and competitive spirit. Why do you think you had such an impact on your smash group, and what is your driving force?"

"uh what *laughs*. I just hear their salt most of the time *laughs*. I may be totally wrong *laughs*, but I feel that it was because I craved elo in our ranking between us friends. Literally, every time I would see them all, I would be like elo me and they couldn't say no because I was at the bottom of the rankings *hehe*. Before we all started going to uni for smash, we kind of did care about our ranking and having me elo everyone every time I had an opportunity, gave a reason for everyone else to get better because they don't want to lose to me. At first, my only goal and driving force was to beat Geoff because he is a close friend of mine and was at the top of the rankings. But as I transitioned into smash at uni, my driving force is trying to become the gatekeeper of Zeldas *laughs* even though I am so far away from that goal; and my other one is to beat your DeDede *laughs*"

"PM is subjected to a lot of criticism in our Smash community, are there any changes that you'd like to see in the next patch? And if so, what would they be?"

"I don't think there are any specific changes I want because I am still fairly new to the game and I know little, but just further balancing characters. Even though they did balanced most of the characters out pretty well, there are still some underplayed and weaker characters and some stronger characters. And some how magically reduce the amount of gimmicks while keeping the relatively balanced state that PM is in as any character can at least be viable."
